So its Friday the 18 June 2008. Were just under half way through the tour with Jay Z & Mark Ronson. So far this week we done Bournemouth and Cardiff, both live shows. Bout 35oo people at both.
We havent seen Jay Z in person yet, except for the stage show. His security people treat everyone like scum, even Mark Ronson got gripped by the neck backstage on Wednesday, nearly kicked off. But yh, Jigga mans crew are millitant, we all have to leave the backstage area before he will even enter the building, seriously its like some presidential shit.
Also found out as we arrived in Bournemouth that Wiley is is also rolling with Ronson on the tour aswell as Rhymefest from the states. So its been good to hang around some big time mcs and get the inside line on the industry from their point of view.
The shows themselves have been good so far. Kinda interesting playing with Ronson as a support act to Jay Z, but he gets em warmed up nicely. First night us boys kinda changed the plan abit and took about 16bars more than we should at the end of Valerie, threw the band and Mark and got a slight slap on the wrists for it. But hey nothing ventured nothing gained.
Ronsons tour manager is hoe. Keeps us locked out in the rain most dates until he finds a cleaners pass or something like that, for us to get into the venue. With which we cant get onto the stage without a argument with security, which is a bitch considering we are performing. Its all fun and games tho.
Got Manchester, Glasgow and Aberdeen to go this weekend. Shall post back soon!
